Is pleased to announce an evening talk with Melody Foreman. The author of “Spitfire Girl" and “Dads Army Goes To War”. Melody will talk about the Mary Ellis story followed by a question and answer session, time permitting.
MELODY FOREMAN is a journalist with experience in newspapers and television documentaries. She also works as a book sommelier and public speaker. Melody is the author of the best-selling Bomber Girls, A Spitfire Girl, the biography of Air Transport Auxiliary pilot Mary Wilkins Ellis, The Wreck Hunter, Battle of Britain and the Blitz. Melody is a regular contributor to national publications including Britain at War magazine. She maintains an avid interest in the social history of both the First and Second World Wars, literature, art, film and theatre studies.
The event is being held at St Wilfreds Catholic Church Hall, Hailsham, East Sussex. on Saturday 21st February 2026, doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets are £15 per person which include free Tea and Coffee with all the proceeds going towards supporting the charity. Other refreshments will be available.
