Boeing 727 aeroplane pull event in aid of Civil Aviation Trust Charity no. 1177141
Dear Supporters, Volunteers and Friends.
A quick update on the change of name of the charity.
After discussion with the trustees and committee, we felt that now was the right time to have a name change to better reflect the new direction of the charity.
We have been known as UKHAT (UK heritage aviation trust) since our inception in 2018. This was primarily geared towards the rescue and restoration of G-CEXP, a Handley Page Herald that sat at Gatwick airport for many years until she was removed by the airport and sadly cut up.
Since that point, the charity has had a re group and now have two airframes (albeit forward fuselages) Thus, it was decided that a name better geared towards civil aviation would be better. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that our new name is CIVIL AVIATION TRUST
We would like to thank all of you who have supported the name and charity UKHAT over the years. We are still the same group, just bigger and better and will be delighted for your continued support of us as Civil Aviation Trust.
Our merchandise with UKHAT will now be sold/auctioned to gear us up for our new and exciting journey as
Civil Aviation Trust
